"Dear Mrs. Rose, Hello, my name is Amy. I currently am a missionary in Thailand, living here with my husband and 4 children. Today, I finished Evidence Not Seen. I actually stayed behind from church because I have been sick. I turned on some of my favorite worship music and settled into my bed to read your beautiful story. I can't even express how God touched my heart through that book. It has been a dry and barren season for me personally. Attitudes and behaviors I've so needed to put off yet haven't. It was five days into the new year when I realized I hadn't even opened my Word yet. The Book that has changed my life the most yet it sat dusty on my side table. No wonder I was feeling dry and barren. Well, today, the floodgates of heaven within were overflowing and I was so very thankful for the Lord's renewing touch. Your story reminded me of another favorite of mine, The Hiding Place, another book the Lord has used in my life. Both stories exemplify sacrifice, surrender, suffering, service and love like none other I've read outside of the Bible. I don't know why God has used such stories to touch me but I too want to live such a life. All to His honor and glory! Thank you for writing this book. Thank you for sharing with the world how Jesus worked in and through you. It is truly inspiring to many that have read and will read. "Dear Mr. and Mrs. Henry, My name is Kayla. I am 16. I have just finished reading Evidence Not Seen by Mrs. Darlene Deibler Rose. I noticed that my copy is from four years ago and she was still living in this world then. Is she still, or did she go to live with our LORD Jesus??? If she is still here, can you tell her that her book encouraged me sooooo much. I laughed, smiled, frowned, and had trouble not crying. I have always felt that the Lord is leading me to be a missionary and I just sent in a registration form to Teen Missions (teenmissions.org) to go to Africa this summer. I have always wanted to witness the things that Mrs. Rose tells about in her book like the part where she remembered the Bible she had borrowed and ran to the barracks to get it, and when she came back the place she was laying in the trench had been bombed. I feel as though I had been with her through her experience. I will be re-reading this book plenty of times through the rest of my life! Hi there,I just finished reading the book "Evidence Not Seen" and at the end of the book was this e-mail address. I was excited to hear that Mr. and Mrs. Rose live in Chattanooga. I understand from the book they were both sick and perhaps one or both of them have passed away by now, but I was just checking to see if there is anyway I can be of service to them if they are still living. My husband is a pastor here in town ( At Covenant Presbyterian Church in East Brainerd) and I have sat and cared for elderly folks for many years from time to time, so if anyone needs someone to sit with them, read to them, help out in anyway...these godly saints have certainly given their all, and I would be honored to help. Please let me know if I can do anything for them. I enjoyed the book so much, and was both challenged, humbled and amazed at God's ways. Thank you and please thank them to if possible.
